Our Home
Ocean Breeze is a large Victorian Town House (built circa 1900) located in a quiet street in The Law Top area, only minutes away from Arbeia Roman Fort (at the end of Hadrian's Wall), and the North Marine Park (which overlooks the harbour) in South Shields by the sea, located at the Mouth of The River Tyne, near Newcastle and Sunderland in North East England.
Our Reputation
We are George and Susan Todd, we live on the premises, own and manage Ocean Breeze. We purchased the property (operating as a 'Visit Britain' 3 Diamond Guest House) in August 2003
We stripped and re- furbished the property, then created accommodation that we would be happy to stay-in ourselves. In 2004 we were awarded 4 Diamonds by the AA and the RAC. The RAC also provided the 'Warm Welcome' Award.
Many guests who have toured the British Isles have told us we are the best Guest House Accommodation they have stayed in during their visit! We build our reputation on quality. Now a large proportion of our business is repeat bookings and by recommendation. We are not the cheapest, but we are the best value.

Our aim is to provide standards of cleanliness, service, accommodation and Hospitality unmatched by any other 'Guest House, Bed and Breakfast, Inn or Hotel you have previously visited in the area
On the 17th February 2010 we received confirmation of our Four Star Grading. We are also approved by Visit Britain and South Tyneside Council
Any accommodation still displaying 'Rosettes', 'Diamonds' or RAC, has not been Inspected for several years. Do not be fooled by fake claims of awards by 'None-Inspected' Guest Houses and B & Bs
